Do your blind fabrics fade in the harsh South African sun?

No our fabrics don’t as our fabrics for blinds are tested in accordance to British, European and international standards for colour fastness.

Are your outdoor blinds strong enough to withstand high winds in coastal areas?

Yes especially our new ZipX product which has a side retaining Zip system that completely enclosed the area and prevents wind from entering through the sides. Even in high gale force winds this product has been tested in Australia and here in SA to have 100% fabric recovery within 3 hours when stretched by wind or by over tensioning.

What is the difference between "Blockout" and "Light Filtering" fabrics?

All roller blind fabrics fall within 3 categories namely Screen , Light filter and Blockout.

Screen fabrics are mostly used by us for Sun protection as they give a view to the outside during the day while stopping up to 100% UV, they however do not provide privacy at night when interior lights are on.

Light filtering roller blinds allow soft, diffused natural light to enter the room while still providing privacy both during the day and at night. They are a great option for spaces where you want privacy without completely darkening the room, such as living rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms

Blockout roller blinds as suggested block most incoming light when fully closed, when combined with a nice sheer curtain it’s a great way to get privacy and rest at night without the clutter of double curtains.

Do you offer motorized options for high or hard-to-reach windows?

Yes we offer a wide range of available motor systems for all our products, for high windows we usually suggest a 220v Wired in motor system as you don’t have to access it to be charged then.

Are your blinds child and pet safe (cordless options)?

Yes we have child safe options for blinds, you can do a shorter continuous loop chain which is then out of the way or you can option in for the cord hold downs which keeps cords neatly tucked to the side and secure. Naturally you can also motorise the blinds for no cords at all.

Do you manufacture your own blinds, or are they imported?

We manufacture roman blinds, dummy romans, curtains and all upholstery in house, blinds are made by our factories with imported fabrics and quality parts.

Can I get a replacement for just the slats if my existing vertical blind headrail still works?

Yes you can ,We do most repairs here in shore if you bring in one “vein” we can measure the edge to edge and find a suitable fabric replacement then we can order just the “veins for you.

If I measure incorrectly and the blind doesn't fit, what is your policy?

Our workshop team has extensive experience working with fabrics and blinds, and in most cases we can assist with adjustments if a blind is slightly too large by cutting it down to the correct size. However, if a blind is ordered too small based on customer-provided measurements, it unfortunately cannot be made larger, and a replacement blind would need to be ordered.

This is why we strongly recommend making use of our free professional measurement service. This ensures that all measurements are taken accurately, and the responsibility for correct sizing falls on us, helping to avoid any costly mistakes and ensuring a perfect fit

Do you provide installation services, or is it strictly DIY?

We offer a professional installation service carried out by our in-house installation team, who install blinds and curtains on a daily basis and have extensive experience with our products.

Can blinds be installed on tiled surfaces or aluminum window frames without damaging them?

Yes we have our “grip fit” blinds which can be used with tiles surfaces that uses rubber compression mechanism to tension against the inside of a tiled window reveal to ensure a secure fit without drilling.

We have our “perfect fit” system for aluminium frames. This system is a 4 sided framed blind that clips directly onto the window frame in-between the rubber beading and the window. The blind sits inside its own slim frame, which moves together with the window when it opens or closes.
